Job Description:

Procurement Specialist needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Springfield, VAActive TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required! Responsibilities--- Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and supply-base diversity and cost management; supplier relationship management; supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFAR Business System (Purchasing) compliance, and supplier-contract risk managementImpact:--- Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.--- Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.--- Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.--- May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.--- Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases.--- Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.--- Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.--- Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.--- Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.--- Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning--- Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.--- Manages production and delivery schedules Qualifications--- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - we will not sponsor!--- Typically requires a BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experienceIn compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000, - $105,000This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic locationEmployment Pre-requisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: Successful completion of a background investigation, and d rug urinalysisSOC, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer,EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability#INDSOC
