Job Description:
Sparks Group in collaboration with a construction services
company is searching for a motivated Accounting Assistant. They
will be responsible for accounting clerical duties in areas of
Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cost Accounting, or Payroll. The ideal
candidate will have previous experience in construction accounting

Assist with accounting activities; verify and process AP and PO
invoices Responsible for data entry and payment processing Enter
data into client online billing systems Research vendor inquiries
about payments and invoices Support business relationships with
vendors and maintain vendor records Assist accounting team on
reporting, research, and audits Provide support to ensure timely
processing of payments through various software systems Prepare and
process payroll deduction payments by reviewing appropriate
deductions schedule Completes other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications/Background Profile : Associate Degree in Accounting,
Finance or Business preferred but not required 5 years of Timesheet
entry, AP, AR, AIA billing; Construction experience preferred 2
years of certified payroll; Sage 300 CRE Construction Accounting
software experience preferred Proficient with using Microsoft
Office applications most importantly Microsoft Excel Ability to
work in a fast paced and in a high transaction volume environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support the
staff and provide strong customer service Detail oriented; ability
to prioritize and work independently and as part of a team Ability
to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure on tight
deadlines
