Job Description:

Panagora Group, a small business providing novel and integrated solutions in global health and international development, seeks a Finance and Accounting Associate for a full-time position in our home office in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Associate's primary responsibility will be helping with processing of accounts payable payments and preparing vouchers. This position reports to the AP Associate. As part of a team, the successful candidate will also support other finance and operations activities as needed. The successful candidate will help uphold Panagora standards, policies, and procedures. Panagora currently has a hybrid work agreement with time split between telework and the office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support accounting department activities including:
    • Processing of accounts payable payment requests to include:
    • Review of AP and Payroll invoices for accuracy, completeness, payment terms etc.
    • Following up on approvals and required documentations
    • Entry of voucher details in Costpoint
    • Preparing of vouchers packages (creating pdf files)
    • Entry of details on AP tracker file
    • Monitoring AP mailbox for payments requests and respond to requests
    • Following up with user on Capital One credit card processing
    • Saving vouchers and backup documentation in Panagora filing system per procedures
    • Assist with account reconciliations as needed
    • Assist with consultant payroll preparation process (formatting pdf files and saving them on SP in preparation for AP to process)
    • Provide other operations and administrative support as required.



      • Bachelor's degree or current major in accounting, or another relevant field
      • 6 months- 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
      • Strong aptitude working with computer and financial/accounting software (Excel) preferred
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated self-starter with interpersonal skills, versatility, critical thinking, and integrity

Staff who reside in the DC/MD/VA area are strongly encouraged to work from the office on those days.
