This position is responsible for performing the tax, audit, and
consulting services for a variety of clients in our firm that will
be assigned to this position. This includes review and finalization
of business and individual tax returns in a timely manner,
reviewing financial statements, assisting on compilation, reviews,
and audit engagements. Job Details ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not
limited to the following: Accurately and timely reviewing and
finalizing tax returns federal, state, and local tax returns for
individuals, business establishments and other organizations.
Supervising members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are
completed correctly. Developing tax strategies to assist clients in
being tax compliant. Review annual corporate and individual income
tax projections. Assist in yearend tax planning for assigned
clients and assist manager to advise the clients regarding effects
of business activities on taxes and on strategies for minimizing
tax liability. Identifying tax problems and developing solutions.
Examine accounts/records and compute taxes owed according to
prescribed rates, laws, and regulations, using computer software.
Completing responses and schedules in preparation for income tax
audits. Monitoring developments in tax legislation and informing
management and staff of developments in tax legislation. Building
and maintaining relationships with clients. Assist in the
resolution of federal, state, and local tax notices and audits as
assigned. Perform audit, review, and compilation engagements in
accordance with AICPA standards. Develop knowledge, understanding,
and compliance with all applicable US GAAP accounting rules and
standards relating to job duties. Review financial statements,
perform month end and quarterly closing, and review financial
statements of assigned high-end clients (e.g., balance sheets,
income statements and cash flow statements) as needed. Supervising
of staff to review financial statements and ensure timely delivery
of financial statements to clients. Perform tax, accounting, and
audit related research necessary for job duties or special
projects. Assist the Clients in preparation of budgets, long term
business plan, forecasting and financial modeling of operating
trends. Ensure that Nitya, LLC's clients comply with periodic tax
payment, information reporting and other taxing authority
requirements. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
by management. Assist with other strategic or operational firm
initiatives. Support the partner in the development and planning of
practice objectives and engagements. Any other duties or tasks
assigned from time to time. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Meets
assignment objectives (timeframes, budgets, outcomes). Client
satisfaction. Business development results – selling and
cross-selling. Team satisfaction. Participation in firm wide
initiatives - recruitment, business development, and retention
initiatives MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES) CPA (Preferred) 5-years minimum experience in review of
Personal and Business Tax Returns. Strong organization, oral and
written communication skills. Must be a team player, willing to
work with/assist other members of the firm. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office products. Strong client relationship skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and
deadlines. Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with
Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word; as well as
experience with quick books accounting software and fast learner of
Tax software-Ultra Tax. Analytical skills with particular attention
to detail. Strong project management skills. Strong team management
skills - the ability to lead, motivate and coach teams of people.
