Preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations. 2. Implement strategic tax planning to minimize client tax liability while ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws. 3. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary. 4. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis. 5. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. 6. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable. 7. Use Drake software, QuickBooks, and other relevant systems for tax preparation and accounting tasks. 8. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain up-to-date knowledge. 9. Provide guidance on financial accuracy, tax issues, and strategic planning goals. Qualifications 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Accountant. 3. Advanced knowledge of GAAP, tax software, reconciliations, AR, AP, tax accounting, and QuickBooks is preferred. 4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret complex financial data. 5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in executing and reviewing work products. 6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner. 7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects. 8. Proven experience with business and industry practices, IRS regulations, entity selection, and tax audit defense. 9. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships. 10. Strong leadership and personnel management skills. 11. Analytical skills with a thorough understanding of complex tax concepts and the ability to apply these concepts to specific client scenarios. Interested in hearing more?
