Senior Corporate Accountant - Arlington, VA Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a reputable organization in Arlington, VA to bring on a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their growing finance team. This hybrid position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of core accounting functions, support monthly close processes, and contribute to financial reporting and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in GAAP, experience with corporate accounting operations, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures. Prepare financial statements, internal reports, and schedules to support management decision-making. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other key balance sheet items. Assist with external audits by preparing supporting schedules and responding to auditor requests. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Participate in process improvement initiatives and help implement best practices for increased efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Corporate accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or mid-sized organization. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
