Job Summary At Five Star Bath Solutions, we specialize in quick, high-quality bathroom renovations. Were expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Bathroom Installer to join us as a 1099 contractor. As a Bathroom Wet Area Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and renovating wet areas in bathrooms, including showers, bathtubs, and other areas that require proper waterproofing and finishing. Youll work directly with our team to complete projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all work is done to the highest standards and in compliance with local codes. This position is for independent contractors (1099) who are reliable, skilled, and committed to delivering quality results. What Youll Do: Wet Area Installation & Renovation: Install, replace, and repair wet area features including showers, bathtubs, and associated fixtures. Ensure proper waterproofing techniques are applied to wet areas (e.g., shower pans, backer boards, and moisture-resistant materials). Perform all necessary plumbing adjustments related to wet area installations (drain placements, water connections, etc.). Waterproofing & Sealing: Properly install moisture barriers, vapor barriers, and waterproof membranes to prevent water damage. Use industry-standard waterproofing materials and techniques, ensuring a flawless seal in all wet areas. Quality Control: Ensure all installations meet or exceed local building codes, company standards, and client expectations. Inspect the work to ensure high-quality finishes and that all features are securely and accurately installed. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure the job site is safe for all workers. Comply with all local building codes and industry regulations for bathroom and wet area construction. What Were Looking For: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in home remodeling / home installation, with a focus on bathroom remodeling. Experience in bathroom wet area installation, including waterproofing techniques and plumbing adjustments. Familiarity with carpentry and fixture installation. Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in bathroom wet area renovations. Skills: Strong expertise in working with waterproofing systems, shower pans, backer boards, and related materials. Ability to use various tools and equipment effectively, including saws, drills, and other renovation tools. Solid understanding of plumbing for bathroom wet areas (e.g., drain systems, faucet placements, etc.). Contractor Requirements: Must have your own reliable transportation. Certification or training in specialized areas (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and meet deadlines. Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic. Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work on your feet for long hours. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
