an Education Network Coordinator. In this position, you will join
our team supporting the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of
Excellence. This position is contingent on award of contract.
Position Summary: In coordination with designated government leads,
the Education Network Coordinator will work with all TBICOE Network
Sites in the execution of government guidance through Network
Regional Education Coordinators (RECs). Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with education government leadership and the network
coordinator to identify sites and develop relationships to support
TBI education needs within DHA markets that align with designated
REC regions. Liaise with education government leadership and the
network coordinator to identify strategic sites within the REC
regions and develop relationships to support TBI education needs.
Coordinate TBI education efforts, with a primary focus on provider
training, across the network. Develop project plans that cross
teams within the Dissemination Branch. Assist in establishing
standards of performance and metrics. Aggregate data to support
computation and analysis of the metrics. Conducts analysis,
compiles and presents the metrics to the government client.
Formulate and track plans (with milestones) to improve provider
education throughout the MHS. Review and create standard operating
procedures (SOPs) pertaining to outreach, beneficiary education,
TBICOE product promotion and dissemination and other REC-related
tasks on an annual basis. Provide guidance and outreach to VA, DoD
and civilian populations (healthcare providers, service members,
veterans, family members and caregivers) related to TBI. Create and
maintain a core set of information materials related to TBI.
Position Requirements: Ability to understand community education
and outreach techniques. Ability to understand Basic TBI clinical
and policy issues. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally
(i.e. able to speak in public) and in writing. Understanding of DoD
and VA clinical networks to identify access points for training and
education required. Ability to mentor subordinates. Ability to
manage conflict, build rapport and navigate complex situations
leading to a positive outcome required. Adherence to legal,
professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and
privacy. Interpersonal skills a must. Minimum Education/Training
Requirements : Master---s Degree in education or healthcare field
required. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience
working with DoD/VA/community providers, patients and families with
issues pertaining to TBI education and training. Experience in the
care of patients with TBI (inpatient, outpatient, or rehabilitation
settings). TBICOE/DHA background in TBI preferred. Required
