What You'll Do:

Discovery Education's Corporate Education Partnerships (CEP) team is mission-driven and facilitates the organization's public/private partnerships, collaborating across all sectors with like-minded organizations to support critical K-12 curricular and learning needs in order to drive youth success in school. The output of these partnerships includes cause marketing initiatives, workforce development solutions, and support for K-12 school service distribution in schools nationwide. We believe that access to dynamic learning experiences should not be dependent upon a student's zip code and are committed to the transformation of teaching and learning in order to drive student engagement.

The Discovery Education CEP team seeks a high-energy, high-potential individual to support the sales process as we collaborate with like-minded corporations, non-profits, government agencies, foundations and trade associations to deliver education solutions at no cost to schools and families. The Sales Coordinator will play a significant role in the partnership pipeline, supporting the sales development and ideation process, optimizing strategy and tactics to deliver initiatives that drive partner goals and Discovery Education's mission. The Coordinator will proactively collaborate with the externally facing CEP Sales team, facilitating collaboration and communication with internal teams and managing day-to-day coordination related to partnership development.

Pipeline Management:


  • Support new partner cultivation, working closely behind-the-scenes to support the CEP Sales team to advance partnerships from initial contact through ideation, program development, contract negotiation and implementation kick off
  • Manage prospect calendar of client meetings and internal preparation meetings - essentially serving as air-traffic control for CEP Sales team
  • Create/edit externally facing presentations and communications materials in support of CEP Sales meetings with prospective partners
  • Draft research briefs, talking points, and other key deliverables for the CEP Sales team to facilitate productive partner meetings, based on top business priorities

    Partnership Development:


    • Facilitate strategic sessions with Curriculum, Operations, Program Implementation, Marketing and Communications teams in partnership with Manager to finalize program themes, strategy and tactics that support both partner goals and educational outcomes

      Data Management


      • Maintain accurate/timely records within CRM tool to track team activities, coordinate reports and maintain dashboard or all relevant information. Identify and track various stages of partnerships in support of CEP Sales team status meetings.
      • Provide administrative support for the CEP Sales team, proactively communicating updated sales collateral and available selling tools.

        • Technical Skills: Experience with CRM platform management (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.), Proficiency in presentation design (Keynote or PowerPoint), Microsoft Excel, Social Media, etc. Experience with graphic design software a plus
        • Flexible: Candidate must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time to meet with partners, customers, and/or attend other collaborator meetings.
