Director, Incentive Compensation Design & Analytics, Rare Disease
What you will do Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital
role the Associate Director, Incentive Compensation Design &
Analytics plays a key role in driving commercial performance for
the Rare Disease Business Unit by leading the strategy, design, and
governance of incentive compensation programs. This role ensures
compensation plans align with brand strategy, business priorities,
and field force objectives while reinforcing behaviors that support
strong commercial outcomes. The Associate Director serves as a
strategic advisor to commercial leadership on incentive
compensation strategy, providing insights and recommendations that
support business performance and field engagement. The role is
responsible for the end to end management of incentive compensation
programs, including plan design, implementation, analytics, and
ongoing optimization. This position partners closely with sales
leadership and cross functional stakeholders to develop incentive
strategies that motivate the field organization, maintain fairness
and transparency, and support data driven decision making. The role
also oversees incentive compensation administration and operational
delivery for the business unit. This role follows a flexible
commuter model with on site work 2 to 3 days per week at either the
Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL office. Candidates located near
these offices are preferred, though remote candidates may be
considered. This position reports to the Director, Incentive
Compensation. Serve as the primary incentive compensation partner
to senior commercial leaders within the Rare Disease Business
UnitLead the strategy, design, and implementation of annual
incentive compensation plans and sales contests aligned with brand
and portfolio strategyTranslate commercial strategy and field force
dynamics into effective incentive plan structures, performance
measures, and payout methodologiesPartner cross functionally with
Sales Leadership, Brand, Forecasting, Field Effectiveness, HR,
Finance, Compliance, and Analytics to develop effective
compensation solutionsPartner with commercial operations and field
leadership to ensure alignment between incentive compensation
design, territory structure, and quota settingDevelop incentive
compensation models and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate
financial impact, performance distribution, and alignment with
business objectivesMonitor and evaluate plan effectiveness through
performance analytics, field feedback, and program reviews,
recommending enhancements as neededGenerate actionable insights
through incentive performance analytics and reporting to inform
leadership decisions and optimize field performancePartner with
field leadership to communicate incentive plans, performance
expectations, and program updates to ensure clarity and engagement
across the field organizationOversee incentive compensation
administration and operational delivery, including payout
calculations, validation, reporting, field inquiries, and awards
programsManage third party vendors and operational partners
responsible for incentive compensation administration and reporting
deliverySupport governance and review processes for incentive
compensation programs, including preparation of materials and
recommendations for senior leadership and compensation review
committeesEnsure compliance with company policies and industry
standards related to incentive compensation programsIdentify
opportunities to enhance incentive design, analytics, reporting,
and operational processes and implement continuous improvements

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 3 years of Incentive
Compensation experience OR Masters degree and 5 years of Incentive
Compensation experience OR Bachelors degree and 7 years of
Incentive Compensation experience OR Associates degree and 12 years
of Incentive Compensation experience OR High school diploma / GED
and 14 years of Incentive Compensation experience Preferred
Qualifications: 3 or more years of experience designing and
managing incentive compensation programs6 or more years of sales
leadership, sales operations, or commercial operations experience
within a large and complex organizationExperience supporting
pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales organizationsStrong knowledge
of incentive compensation design, performance measurement, quota
setting, and payout methodologiesExperience developing incentive
compensation models, scenario analysis, and financial impact
assessmentsAbility to translate commercial strategy and field
dynamics into effective compensation designStrong analytical and
problem solving skills with the ability to leverage data and
insights to drive program effectivenessExecutive presence with the
ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across cross
functional teamsExperience managing vendors or external partners
supporting incentive compensation operationsStrong organizational
skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex
timelinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to present
complex concepts clearly to diverse audiencesDemonstrated ability
to build strong partnerships across commercial leadership and cross

range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not
limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In
