Description: Reporting to the Space Learning Strategy & Innovations Senior Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for the following: Build strong and active relationships that create trust, open dialogue, and transparency with executive leadership in both the Space Business Area as well as key Corporate Teams. Oversee, coach, and mentor an instructional design team lead and a team of non-employees (contractors) assigned to instructional design tasks, championing modern and scalable content development. Positively represent LM's Space Business Area in internal council and board meetings by actively engaging in meetings with relevant input backed by expertise or industry knowledge. Advance learning pathways and upskilling by continuously measuring and reporting on team's ability to connect Space workforce with relevant and modern training resources, even if content was not developed within the team or within the company. Manage multiple Space high complexity projects while ensuring clear and regular communications to senior leadership and reporting of team project status and accomplishments. Collaborate closely with varied and evolving teams within HR and the Business to respond to requests for data and information required for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting of Learning & Development stories of impact. Craft communications and presentations in support of key deliverables. Basic Qualifications: Typically requires BS/BA and 7 Years designing and implementing measurable and successful learning & development initiatives within large complex organizations Proven ability to fully engage with executive leadership (C-Suite, Directors, and Senior Managers) and provide ongoing influence and assistance with learning & development strategic decision making Very strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, rapidly able to build trust and sustained collaborative relationships with hundreds of stakeholders across a large complex company Demonstrated active leadership in business/industry councils or boards Must be willing to travel as needed for role Desired Skills: Experience managing a team of senior level direct reports Exceptional people skills & ability to influence decision making at all levels of the organization Proven ability to represent key performance indicators and business drivers in recommendations Mastery of organizational politics, understanding of key strategic issues, customer priorities, and procurement processes within the defense industry Deep knowledge and expertise in learning and development, instructional design, or reaching audiences of learners via modern modalities BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
