Job Description Job Summary The Assistant Director of APRN
Operations (ADO) is accountable for operational leadership of the
Advanced Practice Initiatives and Certification Outreach department
under the strategic direction of the Director, Advanced Practice
Initiatives and Certification Outreach. Operational
responsibilities include but are not limited to managing outreach
programs, aggregating data reports, and managing multiple and
complex projects that support the ANCC credentialing programs and
departments within the ANA Enterprise on an as-needed basis. You
will supervise 2 team members (Certification Outreach Specialist
and Senior Certification Outreach Specialist) and other
stakeholders as needed, and identify and operationalize strategies
to position the ANA Enterprise as the ---go to--- resource for APRN
and specialty certification. The ADO provides program expertise to
a variety of internal and external stakeholders as a subject matter
expert in advanced practice. The ADO acts as a liaison and resource
for advanced practice faculty. The Assistant Director, Operations
(ADO) must demonstrate superior project management and leadership
skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with a
diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. The ADO must
be comfortable making independent decisions, leading projects, and
coordinating all areas of Advanced Practice Initiatives and
Outreach for Certification. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provide for
operational leadership of the Advanced Practice Initiatives and
Certification Outreach department and supports other ANAE
departments to support attainment of strategic growth goals
efficiently and effectively Ensures advanced practice content on
the Nursingworld.com website and other microsites is current and
accurate Coordinates the process of incorporating and disseminating
APRN inquiries via the website and other means of communication
Collaborate with departments to ensure that meta-data is being used
effectively to support departmental deliverables Serves as a
liaison to APRN faculty and is responsible for oversight for annual
and real-time aggregate data reports Assists and collaborates with
ANAE departments in developing and delivering education internal
and external stakeholders as needed Assists Information Technology,
Marketing, and Communications with data analysis and
interpretation, including the creation of technical and
non-technical reports Ensures that all contracting requirements are
fulfilled with Success Pays and Organizational Affiliates,
including reviewing renewal agreements and managing the recovery of
unpaid invoices Supports ongoing departmental activities including
but not limited to Commission and Board meetings, as well as
tradeshows and events WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ANA Master---s degree
required. Doctoral degree preferred Must hold ANCC Board
Certification Minimum of 5 years as a board-certified APRN.
Preference will be given to candidates experienced in both clinical
practice and administration. Previous or current faculty role
desired Strong project management and leadership skills Skilled in
scientific research methods and complex statistical techniques for
research analysis Ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze
complex databases Ability to interpret and present research
findings in a clear and non-technical manner Ability to develop and
interpret statistical data charts and tables Strong skills in
project management Ability to work independently and as part of a
team Ability to be flexible and re-prioritize tasks within fluid
situations Ability to exercise independent judgment and show
initiative Sensitivity to use of confidential and secure data WHAT
