We are looking to add an energetic, experienced Capture Manager with at least 7+ years of demonstrated success building relationships with partners and potential clients to join our Business Development team. If you are a forward-thinking business development professional who creates and cultivates business relationships while managing complex opportunity pursuits to achieve company growth goals, this job is for you!About the Role:As part of the Business Development team, you will work with our Director of Strategic Growth to leverage research and analysis on federal government contracting opportunities and identify potential clients to develop and execute focused capture strategies. You will also be responsible for maintaining and upgrading business development capture processes, tools, and templates and advising our Project Managers who are on the ground every day with clients on Organic Growth capture strategies. You will interact directly with our external business development advisors as well as build relationships with partner firms. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and implement a sales action plan / pipeline with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new contracts
  • Translate federal budget and spending trends into opportunities to secure new contracts
  • Develop partner and potential client relationships to shape contract opportunities including developing leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, developing leads, and effective conduct of sales meetings; improve efficiency and win rate through various methods
  • Operate under a variety of sales engagement styles, from engaging in short to long-term sales cycles
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Corner Alliance services and methodologies and their translation into our capture activities, proposals, capability statements, website, and marketing materials to improve business capture
  • Work closely with marketing to build campaigns designed to assist in business capture
  • Represent the company at industry days, capture calls, and industry events; prepare post-event reports and analysis
  • Interact with and maximize the outputs of our BD contractors
  • Assist in growing and expanding our business development and capture team and capabilities
  • Continually research and bring the latest best practice methodologies to our BD function
  • Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and ThriveLocation:You will work as part of a team remotely in the Washington, DC area, with regular onsite interaction as needed.Required Experience/Skills:
    • Bachelors degree and 7+ years of demonstrated Federal government project management / capture experience
    • Track record for exceeding sales and/or business development goals with demonstrated success selling into different entities within the Federal government
    • Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment
    • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously
    • Diplomatic team player with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership team, employees, and diverse community stakeholders
    • Confident speaker with the ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
    • Ability to travel locally (30-40%)
    • US citizenship or permanent resident Preferred Experience/Skills:
      • Experience in sales for the Department of Homeland Security, United States Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, and / or other federal civilian departments / agencies
      • Experience using federal government contracts research platforms such as Bloomberg Government (BGOV), beta.sam.gov, FPDS, and USASpending.gov
