Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - A Fundraising-Centric Leadership OpportunityThe Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region is seeking an entrepreneurial and visionary leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following the upcoming retirement of our highly successful CEO after over 22 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising-driven individual to take the helm of a well-established organization and expand its impact.The CEO will play a key role in shaping the future of the foundation by focusing on strategic fundraising, building and strengthening relationships with donors, professional advisors, and community stakeholders. This leader will drive the development of innovative fundraising strategies, oversee donor engagement, and manage the growth of endowments that will secure the foundation's mission for years to come.Key responsibilities include:Leading fundraising efforts to increase revenue for grants, scholarships, and other foundation initiatives
Cultivating and stewarding strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and professional advisors
Overseeing the foundation's growth, sustainability, and impact through strategic planning and resource development
Managing staff and board relations to align organizational goals with donor priorities
Ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational effectiveness across all programs and initiativesThis position requires a leader who is not only passionate about philanthropy but also skilled in securing major gifts, fostering long-term donor relationships, and using fundraising to drive the foundation's mission forward. This leader will elevate the foundation's visibility, uniting all parties around a shared vision and empowering others to further its mission.The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in nonprofit leadership and/or business development, a proven track record in fundraising, with strategic planning that drives organizational growth, and experience working with boards. Their dedication to philanthropy and strategic alignment will ensure they are the perfect fit for advancing the foundation's goals.
