Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Shifts can be varied : full time, part time, rotating, day, evening and nights General Summary: Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to a specified group of patients.Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given.Provides carefor the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient (as defined in the unit scope of care).Utilizesknowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient's age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.Involves appropriate parties (i.e.; patient's familyor guardian, outside agencies) in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed.Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory TherapistCurrent licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care PractitionerAt least one year of clinical experience preferredCurrent CPR training with recertification every two years.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if working in NICU/Special Care NurseryAble to demonstrate good ability to communicate using English language in written and verbalfashion, promoting a team approach to patient careVisual acuity at all ranges corrected or uncorrectedNormal hearing range corrected or uncorrected Working Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.Must be able to push, pull, and lift patients.Must be able to push, pull,lift and move patient care equipment. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist; be able to kneel.Position does require contact with human body fluids and does require observance of standard precautions.
