Emergency Department Patient and Family Clinical Liaison (PFCL)
serves as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare
team. The PFCL enhances communication between the healthcare team
and patients and their families. by interpreting and explaining
hospital processes, providing frequent status updates pertaining to
the patient's treatment plan and resolving patient problems and

MDDescription: The Emergency Department Patient and Family Clinical
Liaison (PFCL) serves as a liaison between patients, families, and
the healthcare teamFull TimeShift - Evenings (1:00 p.m. - 11:00
p.m.)Weekends required (Saturday & Sunday)Responsibilities:The PFCL
enhances communication between the healthcare team and patients and
their families by interpreting and explaining hospital processes,
providing frequent status updates pertaining to the patient's
treatment plan and resolving patient problems and concernsPerforms
all other duties as assigned.Supports the Mission of Trinity Health
and Holy Cross Hospital.What you will need:Associate degree or
equivalent experience required in Health Sciences, Biology, or
similar discipline.American Heart Association - Basic Life Support
(BLS) - requiredCertification as a Nursing Assistant by the
Maryland State Board of Nursing - required1-3 years work experience
in a healthcare or hospital setting required.1-3 years work
experience in a service industry with direct first line customer
contact preferred.EKG skills preferred at hire.Phlebotomy skills
preferred at hire.Must demonstrate EKG and phlebotomy skill
competency within 3 months of hire.Excellent command of the English
language to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
bilingual, Spanish preferred.Basic knowledge of medical
terminology.Ability to work independently and problem-solve with
minimal direct supervision.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and
work on multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to positively
interact with people of all age groups and backgrounds; ability to
demonstrate empathy.Demonstrated skills in collaboration and
teamwork.Basic computer skills include: data entry and
retrieval.Ability to participate in assisting patients in and out
of vehicles and wheelchairs and to push patients in
