TechWerks is hiring for a Behavioral Health Research Associate!Job Requirements:PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. - - - - - - Perform a variety of research associate functions in support of behavioral health research efforts for the military, including the prevention of harmful behaviors in Soldiers. This work includes developing questionnaires, supporting data collections in the field, transcribing interviews and focus groups while they occur, processing and entering collected data, managing data sets, analyzing quantitative data, and producing reports of the results. - 2. - - - - - - Assist principal investigator in performing data analysis, conducting literature reviews, drafting and editing scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and submitting and presenting research findings at national and military conferences. 3. - - - - - - Coordinate travel and study logistics with research teams to conduct in-field data collections on Department of Defense installations. 4. - - - - - - Assist with development and maintaining research protocol files in accordance with Institutional Review Board and Human Subject Protection Board regulatory guidelines. 5. - - - - - - Provide assistance to TechWerks Headquarters staff as needed on proposal writing projects and all job-related progress reports/technical reports. 6. - - - - - - Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer. 7. - - - - - - Participate in trainings and other related duties as required and assigned. - Reasonable Accommodation Statement: To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Master's degree in psychology, statistics, epidemiology, social work, or a related field with an interest in applied social science for military populations. Must be fluent in English and have excellent written and spoken communication skills for a professional work environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous experience with digital survey platforms, such as Qualtrics, is required. Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, or R is required. Experience with qualitative analysis and NVivo software is also desirable. At least one-year full-time work experience in psychology, social science research, or a related behavioral health research field is preferred. Experience working with U.S. Army populations is preferred. U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required. Applicant must pass a background investigation. Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands. Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training. Must be able to work within a chain of command and seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. - WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office and field environment; will require working evenings and weekends. Will be required to travel between 25-50% of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
