Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Echo Technologist
for our Cardiology Department who will embrace our mission to
extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and
spiritual healing.
As a Lead Echo Technologist you will:
--- Keeps Operations Manager informed of echo lab activities, needs
and problems in assigned areas and provides ongoing feedback about
the work performance of the other echocardiographers
--- Ensures that echo techs and physicians comply with ICAEL lab
standards.
--- Prepares daily work assignments to ensure proper coverage for
daily volume.
--- Receives physicians order for inpatient and outpatients.
Reviews electronic medical record for pertinent history. Provide
patient care in a safe and compassionate manner.
--- Prepares patients for procedure, considering their physical,
psychosocial, and cultural needs. Follows proper procedure for
transport of patients when applicable. Provide patient care in a
safe and compassionate manner.
--- Performs echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients
according to protocol. Perform studies to ICAEL standard,
department policy and procedure, and ACC/AHC standards. Examines
the heart from the appropriate echo views assessing wall motion,
valve function, chamber size, and any abnormalities seen, notify
cardiologist of any critical results.
--- Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and
supplies. Notify biomed of all equipment malfunctions.
--- Assure that all patient charges can be accurately completed.
Confirm that there is a correct order for all studies done.
--- Coordinates/Leads quarterly echo conferences.
--- Assists with stress test and EKGs if needed
Qualified candidates will possess:
--- High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree
preferred
--- A minimum of three years of echocardiographer experience
working with ICAEL standards.
--- 2 years of supervisory responsibilities
--- CPR certification required, ARDMS OR CCI Registered
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7a-530p (4x/10hr shifts)
