Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide patient education, and assist the dentist during procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for oral health. Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement - Conduct patient assessments and record medical history - Take and develop dental x-rays - Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (Epic) - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required - Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques - Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Epic) is a plus - Understanding of medical coding for dental procedures is beneficial - Experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles - Proficient in taking vital signs and assisting with medical emergencies We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
