Provides, coordinates, teaches, and/or supervises care for a group of patients usually in the setting of the patient’s home. Employs the appropriate discipline specific process to develop and implement plans of care for patients requiring in?home health and support services, under physician orders. Added perks to the job: - Flexible scheduling and day shift hours - Work less weekends (typical schedule of 1 weekend shift every 6 weeks) - Be off on holidays (work 2 holidays a year) - Employer matched 401K - Paid time off with increased PTO with longevity - Medical, Dental, & Vision Health Plans with a generous portion of medical covered - Employer paid life insurance and AD&D 1x Salary - Supplemental Life, Spouse Life, and Child Life insurance options - Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity Insurance options - Employer paid Short Term disability - Long Term disability coverage option - Employee Perks Program Specific Duties & Responsibilities: - Ability to provide skilled evaluation, treatment & care for pediatric patients (newborns through young adults) in accordance with the State of Maryland & District of Columbia Nursing Scope of Practice. - Understanding and ability to apply principles of teaching and learning to patients and/or caregivers with varied abilities and learning needs. - Organized approach to work tasks, responsibilities & meets time requirements Work Location: Anne Arundel/ PG/Howard area Work Hours: 40 hours per week (8 or 10 hour shifts available) Weekend Requirement: Yes (Rotating weekends) Take Call: Yes Preferred Experience and/or Skills: -Three years (minimum) experience working in acute care facility on a pediatric unit or department; preferably in critical care or ED - Prior experience and/or skills in administering high tech infusions such as Biologics, Immunotherapy or Chemotherapy -Ability to care for and maintain central venous access devices (CVAD) including sterile technique when applicable, accessing ports, and removal of PICCs. -Ability to place peripheral catheters (PIVs) in pediatric patients (newborns through young adults) -Ability to use learn and use new technologies and computer programs quickly and effectively. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
