Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Jan 26, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 9 Description American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department night shift position requiring trauma care skills and a current DC RN license. Details - Work in a hospital Emergency Department - Night shift schedule, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week - Care for a diverse patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma cases - Must be willing to work as the primary trauma bedside RN - Nurse-to-patient ratio up to 1:5 - Required to use Cerner EMR Requirements - Active DC RN license in hand - Minimum of 3 years recent Emergency Room experience required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS (AHA only) - Cerner EMR experience required - CPI certification mandated by position - BSN highly desired - Must live at least 25 miles from facility - Must have a valid US Social Security Number (SSN) Additional Information - Manage trauma and critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass blood transfusions, and chest tubes - Deliver and coordinate nursing care for patients with complex needs to ensure safety and quality - Holiday coverage may be required as part of the rotation American Traveler Job ID P-657999.
