The Jr. Web Application Designer will assist the Creative Lead with the design and implementation of web interfaces for Summit's client base, on a Microsoft supported platform. The person in this role will gather information from the stakeholders to gain understanding of business branding requirements, develop solutions and creative aspects, and provide information required to comply with client requests. This role requires hands-on requirements analysis, design review, development, testing, and solution implementation skills. We are seeking candidates in the Atlanta, Chicago and Washington, DC areas and will consider a fully remote work arrangement as well. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes business needs to develop functional and aligning creative requirements
• Create solutions as defined by business branded guidelines for client web sites
• Work with Creative Lead to ensure layout and website and content is easy to navigate, logical and scalable. Also, make recommend improvements as necessary
• Compile page comments to be included in creative build instructions
• Consult with others to clarify program intent, identify problems and suggest changes
• Assist in determining portability of designs between operating systems, browsers and devices
• Address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and across different devices.
• Maintain standards for the creative and change management processes
• Contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users
• On-going maintenance of and improvement of all existing web application designs and other Summit web-based applications.

  • Ability to work independently KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
    • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Web Development is preferred) or 2 years relevant Web Design experience
    • Minimum 2 years proven experience in website creative development
    • Minimum 2 years working knowledge of several of the following: HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
