We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development.
The Director is responsible for leading the implementation and
execution of business development strategy, managing the business
development team, creating and updating business development
processes and reporting. This position will work closely with
Business Unit Directors and Regional Managers to develop long-term
business strategies to increase company revenue through deeper
integration with existing clients, development of new client
relationships, and identification of potential new service
opportunities. The Director will be a member of Aegis’ Executive
Essential Functions: Plan, develop and implement industry best
practice strategies for generating revenue for the company across
all business lines.
Manage the BD team, with focus on building and maintaining team
culture, performance, goal setting and overcoming challenges with
Develop new market initiatives, identify new market entry
points, assess current and new market business opportunities
Support the development and production of proposal documents
that are distinctive, highly competitive, and fully compliant with
Assess marketing and sales efforts, vendor capabilities and
needs, and recommending improvements as needed
Develop & manage resource libraries of project sheets, resumes,
subcontractors, proposals and narratives to increase visibility of
qualifications across the company and enable more efficient
Conduct performance reviews that includes thoughtful feedback
and goal setting. Work with HR staff to recruit, hire, onboard and
address any disciplinary issues.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
Construction Management or similar. MBA a plus.
10+ years of sales or marketing experience. Experience with
professional services in in the Construction industry preferable.
Construction industry familiarity desired.
Management of a business development team.
Proven business development, sales or marketing experience.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation
Proven track record of effectively leading a BD team and
collaborating with VPs.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Strong business acumen.
Proficiency in proposal creation and use of industry-standard
