Job Description and Requirements
Responsible for the overall performance of the existing
portfolio including operations, customer service, marketing,
program compliance, resident relations, and financial management.
Must be familiar with Federal, State and Local affordable housing
programs and regulations. Additionally, will assist and direct
KCSHC’s endeavors to expand its housing portfolio. Therefore, a
successful candidate must have experience in the assessment,
analysis, and coordination of affordable housing development tasks
in both preservation and construction opportunities.
Further, this individual must have the demonstrated capacity to
work as an active member of a team comprised of on-site and
off-site stakeholders, to participate in joint decision-making
processes, operating efficiently and accurately to balance KCSHC’s
competing objectives in property management and development

Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business
Administration, Real Estate or Public Administration preferable),
or equivalent knowledge. 10+ years of related work experience in
Multifamily Affordable Management and Development.
Required License/Certification: CPM (Certified Property
Manager), CPHM (Certified Public Housing Manager) and/or Certified
Financial Management (CFM). If the applicant does not have those
certifications, he/she is required to take and pass the exams
within the first year of employment.
Basic Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Must be familiar with housing management, budgeting, housing
agency regulations and the HUD Housing program and comply with Fair
Must possess strong organizational, management skills and
supervisory experience and the demonstrated ability to work as a
critical member of a team that is committed to building strong
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. OneSite/Yardi
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, flexible, and detail oriented.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse audience with tact
Ability to physically inspect the property in its entirety to
include walking/climbing stairs, and ability to withstand all
Establish relations (or direct contact) with various Federal,
State and Local housing agencies officials necessary to carry-out
and maintain all housing programs requirements.
