Incumbent is considered aWSSCWater expert resource relative to the review, approval and permitting of water and sewer extension project designs.The Supervisor will provide support onWSSCWaters policy, procedures and standards. Serves as theWSSCWater liaison with the County Agencies co-located in theDPIEorDPSoffices in order to support the Countys OneStop-Shop for development projects and the planning for water and sewer service to new or redevelopment projects. The Supervisor, Project Management will oversee the operation ofWSSCWater staff and the issuance of basicWSSCWater permits at theDPIEand/orDPSoffices forWSSCWater related work.Job incumbent may be responsible for high profile and complex projects and is expected to develop the capacity to provide a wide range of review functions in the planning, design and construction phases of theWSSCWaters process.Essential Functions+ Supervises, employees including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and/or termination or recommending termination+ Supervises staff in the processing of basic Permit Applications for new service and extensions and the review of associated engineering plans and documentation+ Supervises sub-professional and professional engineering personnel engaged in research, technical review and dissemination of engineering documents and information+ Supervises the levy, collection and deposit of project related fees+ Coordinates interface between the Development Services Division and Government Agencies co-located at theDPIEand/orDPSoffices to ensure development and service commitments and resolution of interrelated problems+ Resolves difficult problems and provides guidance in responding to public requests forWSSCWater service information and customer service inquiries or requests+ Supervises and reviews developer built water and sewer design projects for design adequacy, constructability, maintainability, cost effectiveness and environmental impact and provides support during construction+ Performs hydraulic reviews and computations, considering existing and future demands/flows to determine pipe sizing and alignments and available capacity of existing water and sewersystems+ Interprets hydraulic analyses for basic, moderate and complex level Hydraulic Planning Analysis studies, amendment requests, onsite reviews, preliminary plans, Service Category Change requests, rezoning requests and other types of hydraulic review.
