OTMRIA is the FDA lead for addressing issues related to international trade of regulated products, mutual recognition agreements, and entering into arrangements and sharing information with global counterparts.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes public health, scientific, and regulatory issues within a global context in assigned work areas and assesses their impact on Agency interests.Stays abreast of new developments in the area of responsibility within the strategic national and regional remits of foreign posts and tracks new legislation in order to review work of subordinate staff and to brief higher agency officials.Oversees and leads a broad range of significant, wide-ranging and complex activities related to FDA?s trade environment to include but limited to working across FDA, USG, and global teams to champion FDA priorities within a trade policy context.Plans, analyzes, evaluates and oversees the development, delivery, and maintenance of information disclosure laws and regulations that are relevant to FDA?s interactions with foreign counterparts.Provides occupational specific technical and administrative direction to three or more subordinate employees performing the work and functions of the organization.Travel Required25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. To qualify for this position at grade GS-15, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 05/04/2021.Time-in-Grade:Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service). Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to Time-in-Grade requirement, you must meet the following specialized experience requirement.GS-15 Specialized Experience:All applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service to include experience in directing, developing, overseeing, interpreting, and recommending public health and regulatory policy and administrative procedures in international settings that engages in performing scientific, analytical, technical and administrative accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record.
