As a User Experience (UX) Specialist, GS-0301-13, you will serve as a liaison between development teams and CMS component business owners to ensure that CMS mission objectives are met by digital product development initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProduces user requirements specifications and experience, goals, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.Participates in research activities, derives insights, generates concepts, communicate those concepts visually, and work with developers and product teams to build and test them.Effectively communicates conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale and goals both verbally and visually.Collaborates with visual designers and development teams, business owners and other CMS staff to ensure that customer goals are met and design specifications are delivered.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 5% for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
