Verizon is in the process of modernizing our core networks to
enable new, groundbreaking products and technologies. This new
'Intelligent Edge Network' leverages virtualization and software
defined networking and will transform how we provide products and
service, and maintain our position as the industry leader. Verizon
is seeking motivated and driven Engineering professionals to
support the Intelligent Edge network.
You will be responsible for Order Entry, Design, along with
Network and Telco coordination efforts supporting implementation of
Telco Migration parent circuits.
- Design of Network circuits to support Telco Migrations (Access
Unification) and provisioning efforts will be done at OCN and Wave
- Utilize Verizon Business systems to track, coordinate, and
complete all network orders and any related tasking efforts.
- Send, coordinate, and complete appropriate ASR related
activities to Local Exchange Carrier and Competitive Local Exchange
Carrier (LEC/CLEC). You will work with the LECs to get orders
scheduled and provide escalations as needed, as well as interacting
with other Verizon organizations to ensure business needs are
- Work independently and exercise independent judgment and
discretion within generally defined practices and policies to
select appropriate methods or techniques for obtaining

You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Experience with Synchronis Data Link Control (SDLC) concepts
and methodologies, supporting automation initiatives and process
- Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualized solutions
- Network Operations Center experience.
- Scripting with Python, No-JS, Perl, or equivalent
- IP networking certifications.
- Experience driving automation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills.
