An exciting Start Up Laboratory opportunity is now available for
a Part Time CLIA Lab Director in the greater Washington,
D.C. area. The CLIA Lab Director will work approximately
8 hours per month overseeing the CLIA regulations for a
start up High Complexity Clinical Diagnostics Lab.
The CLIA Lab Director must meet
the CLIA Requirements for High Complexity Lab Directors
to qualify for this role. The Lab Director will either have their
doctoral degree in physical, biological, chemical, or laboratory
science, or be a licensed DO, MD, DPM,
and certified by HHS approved board. Some exceptions to
this are approved if licensed prior to certain dates.
The Laboratory Director CLIA will join an independent quality
control laboratory provider that specializes in test products to
reduce pathogens on environmental services. Their goal in their
quality control testing is to reduce transmission of infectious
organizations to protect organizations workers and clients. This
IAC certified laboratory and skilled laboratory team utilizes the
most current testing standards and is able to develop custom
testing based on client needs.
The Lab Director CLIA will oversee policies and procedures, will
oversee the list of responsibilities of each employee, verify that
delegated duties are being performed adequately, make sure the lab
is enrolled in a proficiency testing program, and ensure education
is provided to employees as needed. The Laboratory Director will be
available to the laboratory to provide consultations by either
onsite, telephone, or electronic. Candidates within driving
distance are preferred but not required.
