The Vice President of Cardiovascular Services reports to the
President of White Oak Medical Center. The Vice President will be
expected to lead the Service Line in coordination with the named
dyad/triad Physician Leadership partner(s) and in collaboration
with the Adventist HealthCare services where cardiology care is
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the development and implementation of strategic
optimal success of the cardiovascular service line.
- Leads, in collaboration with the triad physician leaders, the
service line steering committee.
- Plans and formulates policy related to the function and
operation of the system

- Provides regular reports, performance review presentations and
the WOMC President and appropriate system leaders.
- Leads the development and implementation of a cardiovascular
strategic plan for Adventist HealthCare.
- Identifies opportunities for service line growth in the market,
outpatient programs, joint ventures, partnerships and other
- Develops and implements an annual marketing plan for the
service line including evaluation and implementation of a
Master's Degree from a college or university of recognized
standing in business or health care related field strongly
preferred. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in nursing or
other health care related field of study.
Five to Seven years of progressive leadership experience, with
strong preceding clinical professional experience in a health care
field. Demonstrated leadership experience in cardiovascular
services is required, with focus on financial, quantitative and

organizational relationships interdepartmentally, with the Medical
Staff, professional groups and the community at large. Knowledge of
current theoretical approaches to the delivery of cardiovascular
patient care.Knowledge of current leadership, management, and
quality improvement concepts and the ability to participate in
developing and implementing organizational strategies to address
areas of need. Adaptable to change; demonstrates knowledge of the
process of change and ability to implement change. Exceptional
written and verbal communications skills. Skilled in maintaining an
effective communication system.
