To apply now, text DDALIVEIN to 301-804-1032!Rock Creek Foundation is seeking a Live-In Residential Counselor to reside at one of our Residential homes in Silver Spring, MD and provide support to our consumers. This Live-In Residential Counselor will be required to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am-8:30 am. During these morning hours, the Live-In Residential Counselor will be responsible for waking consumers in the morning, administering morning medications, and driving consumers to our day program. This asleep-overnight Residential Counselor position will also be responsible for handling any emergencies that arise overnight.Are you passionate about creating positive change in your community by serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities?     • Administers medication per Maryland Board of Nursing requirements
    • Assists in the general upkeep of the house (inside and outside) and determines need for maintenance and repairs as needed
    • Assigns rooms, assists in planning recreational activities for consumers, plans menus, and assists in preparing meals
    • Counsels residents to identify and resolve social or other challenges
    • Timely and accurately compiles records of daily consumer activities, consumer medical records, resident rehabilitation plans, and submits incident reports as needed
    • Determines the need for emergency medical services (911) if a medical emergency occurs
    • Ensures compliance with COMAR, MNOB, and Company regulations
    • Responsible for checking and updating consumer goals, messages, nursing notes, and daily diary notes in the Carematic systemRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of experience working with adults with varying mental health and intellectual disabilitiesMust have valid CPR/First Aid, and DDA and MANDT CertificationsCertified Medication Technician (CMT)Must possess a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and have access to a personal vehicleOther Qualifications:Must be able to work with "high-risk" consumers who have mental illnesses as well as developmental and physical disabilities. We expect all staff to have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service; to comply with the rules and regulations of those organizations to which we are accountable; to have high ethical and professional standards of conduct; and to have an attitude of wanting to continuously improve their own professional performance.Salary: $15.00 per hourSign-on bonus of $1,000.00 payable in two installments ($500.00 with first pay check, $500.00 after satisfactory completion of six-month probationary period)New hires who show proof of their completed COVID-19 vaccination will earn a sign on bonus on their first paycheck.Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:00 am-8:30 am, and any time after 12 am (midnight) if you are woken up due to an emergency in the residential homeCOVID-19 Precautions:
