Job Title: Cybersecurity CoachLocation: Silver Spring,

workforce development program to provide aspiring cybersecurity
professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform a
variety of tasks associated with compliance, security architecture,
security engineering, and security operations. IBSS is seeking a
cybersecurity coach who has a passion for education and guidance,
project planning, and cybersecurity, and brings qualities such as;
energy, respect, and is detail-oriented. This is an exciting
initiative at IBSS and is supported by leadership and our subject
matter experts.The ideal cybersecurity coach will exhibit the
following attributes:Desire to earn additional cybersecurity
certifications and appropriate professional certificationsEnjoys
motivating others to excelExcellent verbal and written
communication skillsPassionate about cybersecurityRelishes the
mentor roleRemains up-to-date with respect to cybersecurity topics
and trendsUnderstands techniques, technologies, and tools used to
maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of

DescriptionServe as a coach and mentor to aspiring cybersecurity
professionalsHelp cybersecurity apprentices develop personal
learning plans by providing feedback and recommendations for making
adjustments based on program requirementsCorrelate learning
activities with IBSS business requirementsConduct periodic reviews
and revisions of the apprenticeship curriculum to ensure the
learning objectives and course content remains consistent with IBSS
business requirements, industry standards, and industry trends Key
Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate communication, and
associated activities, between IBSS management and third
partiesWork with the IBSS management team to facilitate
implementation of technical training and soft skills trainingEnsure
compliance with grant requirementsDevelop curricula, lesson plans,
facilitate learning activities, and develop assessments to gauge
the understanding of security conceptsCoordinate hands-on
cybersecurity lab exercisesImplement curricula and continuously add
resources and other sources to the curriculumProvide instruction
online and in-personOversee apprentices' projects with third party
organizations and serve as the IBSS point of contact between IBSS
and the organizationsMeet with each apprentice weeklyBe available
as a resource as needed to each apprentice.Monitor progress and
implement strategies to improve the probability of passing
certification examsProvide weekly participant performance reports
to IBSS Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program managementTrack and
measure cybersecurity apprentices' success and skills learned. Work
with program managers to identify any gaps in readiness and skill
level Identify funding sources from Federal agencies and other
grant initiatives to fund the growth of the programAssist with
obtaining workforce development certifications in different states
Required Skills/Qualifications:Conveying information effectively
verbally and in writing, by adapting to the intended
audienceEffective listening skillsDeveloping learning
activitiesIdentifying learning gaps and provide remediation
techniques Utilizing feedback to improve processes Required
