Job Description:

Nextgen Federal is seeking to fill a Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) position to support National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) / National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) / Office of Satellite Ground Services (OSGS). Work involves systems engineering and interfacing with OSGS Satellite Systems /Product Owners and Release Train teams and facilitating and managing product development and roll out under a Agile/SAFe framework.Location: Silver Spring, MDResponsibilities: Specific duties will include

  • Liaising with Product Owner and understanding customer expectations
  • Defining work scope and schedule with a focus on timely delivery of value
  • Organizing and leading project status and working meetings
  • Preparing and distributing progress reports
  • Managing risks and issues
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder communications
  • Fostering continuous improvement and managing processes for use by teamsQualifications:
    • Minimum 8 years' experience related to the above duties description.
    • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident / Green Card holder with at least 2 years residence in the US
    • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Be conversant in MS office products and other relevant computer software applications.
    • Must possess working knowledge of Agile/SAFe and Scrum frameworks.
    • Working knowledge of technical system development processes and methodologies desired.
