Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in Landover, MD.

What you'll do:

• 
  
• Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.
  
• Verify/validate systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
  
• Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  
• Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
  
• Conduct research and evaluate technical performance of enterprise products and systems.
  
• Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluate end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
  
• Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements.
  
• Review test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements.
  
• Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.
  
• Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for decision makers.
  
  Qualifications
  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Education/Experience: BS Degree with 5-7 years of experience, or MS Degree with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years. Will consider additional experience -in lieu of degree requirement. -
    
  • Experience verifying and validating systems and assessing cyber threats.
    
  • Understanding of requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices.
    
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
    
  • Ability to work independently.
    
  • Must have, at a minimum, a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE).
    
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

    Range for Posting Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
