** Program Support Specialist****Department of Health And Human
Services****THIS ANNOUNCEMENT HAS BEEN AMENDED TO ADD THE COVID-19

in the Office of the Commissioner, Office of External Affairs
responsible for a variety of administrative support duties
including timekeeping, property management and logistical
coordination, travel, and records management. The primary purpose
of this position is to serve as a Program Support Specialist
providing administrative assistance in support of the mission of
OEA.****Location**1 vacancy in the following location:+ **Duties***
Provide administrative support for the Office of External Affairs
to ensure resources meet program needs, including: office space,
equipment and supplies, meeting and workshop arrangements.* Assist
in performing liaison tasks to support administrative operations to
include human resources and budget activities of a routine nature
such as answering questions concerning established policies and
procedures.* Support the overall mission of OEA by assisting
internal and external customers with information on OEA work
processes and practices, methods and procedures, instruction, and
information on assignments, tracking and* identifying
administrative issues/subjects, follows up and tracks resolution of
assignment (s) and expeditated appropriate approvals or signature
as appropriate.* Assist with projects as requested and draft
letters, memos, and other written products, as well as edit similar
products for quality.* Assist gathering, analyzing, consolidating,
and tracking requested information for a variety of projects and
preparing reports.* Assist scheduling meetings, including arranging
for space, notifying participants, preparing the agenda and
minutes, and following up on all commitments to ensure that
necessary arrangements have been made.* Ensure day-to-day
operations comply with applicable laws, instructions, and
policies.* Support posting consumer health information content to
FDA.gov.* Perform a wide range of other duties as assigned that are
directly related to this position.* Serve as a timekeeper and
assumes all timekeeping responsibilities.* Serve as Property
Custodial Officer managing accountable property by performing
property management duties such as the maintenance of* records,
periodic inventories, and/disposal of excess property while
managing the distribution of loaner laptops and mobile devices.*
Serve as a travel coordinator for domestic and international
travel.* Serve as the records management point of contact for

Qualifications****The position of Program Support Specialist falls
under the** **0301** **occupational series. To qualify for this
position at grade GS-7/9, you must meet requirements by 11:59 pm
EST on 02/04/2022.** **In order to qualify for Program Support
Specialist, GS-0301-07, you must meet the following:****Have one
year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 In the
Federal service**, experience providing administrative support and
guidance to internal and external customers. Experience assisting
and participating in the preparation of property management,
timekeeping, arranging travel, and human resources. **OR**Have
completed 1 full year of graduate level education **or** superior
academic achievement. **In order to qualify for Program Support
Specialist, GS-0301-09, you must meet the following:****Have one
year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 In the
Federal service,** experience assisting staff in troubleshooting,
tracking, or identifying administrative issues and follows up and
tracks to assure resolution. Experience in property management,
records management, timekeeping, arranging travel, processing
travel vouchers, and procuring supplies and services. **OR**Have
completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree **or** 2 full
years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to
such a degree **or** LL.B. or J.D., if related. **Time-in-Grade:**
Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the
previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary
appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet
time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next
lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service). Time-in-grade
requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
*In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal
employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing
duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series
and grade level as described in their position description.
Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's
position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory
evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's
supervisor or an or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other
official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the
duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of
times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this
documentation is included in the employee's official personnel
record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume
that is not within the official series and grade level of your
official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate
