Description JOURNEYMAN PAINTER Looking for experienced Painter, various jobs, commercial and facility work. Mainly brush and roll, renovations and general painting throughout the facility. Must have all trade related basic hand tools and painter whites. 18.00 to 20hr depending on experience. • Tool purchase programs Requirements As a Commercial Painter you will apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, and other structures. Additional responsibilities:
  • Filling nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster
  • Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool
  • Removing old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting
  • Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers
  • Simulating wood grain, marble, brick, tile or other special effects with cloth, brush, or sponge
