to help us make the future? Purchasing Inventory Control Specialist
Honeywell in Silver Springs, MD is seeking a Materials Coordinator!
This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining material
and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of
material and parts between receiving areas and campus. You will
coordinate with dispatch to update CMMS on material status for
contractual compliance reporting. You will review preventative
maintenance schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to
determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of
stock, and order priority. You will match material requests with
supplier specifications. If discrepancies exist, coordinates with
material supplier and technician to ensure part meets the job
requirements. You will confer with supervisors to determine overdue
material and parts. Regularly consults with suppliers to determine
estimated delivery dates and provide updates to staff. Supervisors
may require materials from different suppliers to be assembled for
repairs or jobs. These will need to be assembled and reported as a
group. You will locate and distributes materials to specified
campus buildings, manually or using handcart, hand truck, or
forklift. You will be responsible for performing cycle counts,
recording and maintaining perpetual inventory of quantity and type
of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed using
computer. Responsible to examine material received, verify part
numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked

achieve metrics SUMMARY OF DUTIES * Input and maintain online
database of all products; maintains daily inventory update * Tracks
and reports out on the status of material orders * Maintains
quality service by following organization standards and complying
with procedures * Identify and resolve any and all issues related
to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, loss * Notify
leadership of problems that are not resolvable * Receive goods in a
time efficient manner * Maintains knowledge of trends, prices,
buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material
availability * Identify the most appropriate supplier for the
designated product, determine availability, perform comparative
pricing and negotiate pricing, confirm quality of products and
establish delivery requirements/timelines * Negotiates and
completes contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery
times * Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase
orders (POs), invoice creation, pricing verification, payment
authorization, complete entries into accounting system * Perform
inventory cycle counts, spot counts and month end reconciliation
process; research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory
adjustments * Update company on any new products that may be more
efficient or cost effective, obsolete products, product trends *
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves,
workstations, and the overall warehouse neat and cleanYOU MUST HAVE
* High School Diploma/GED * 3 or more years of experience in an
purchasing, inventory, receiving, or materials coordinating WE
