(Can keep truck overnight)Job DetailsThe Lead Technician will be responsible for the installation, modification, repair and maintenance of Access Control and IP camera systems. This includes overseeing the work of others, surveying work sites to determine the best installation practices, coordinating workflow within the unit, act as company liaison and provide on the job training to other technicians as needed. The Lead Technician is responsible for making independent judgements where normal procedures or guidelines or not established. Vehicle and tools will be provided by employer.POSITION OVERVIEW:Providing Audio Visual and Classroom Technology services to our Commercial Clients are all fundamental to our success. This is a full-time position as an Audio-Visual Lead Technician with the possibility of some overtime work as required. The Audio-Visual Lead Technician will be responsible for working with a crew for the installation of projection, integrated classroom, video teleconferencing, paging, video display, voice reinforcement and video conferencing systems in Corporate and Commercial areas. The resource must be able to read drawings that are provided for jobs, manage materials used on job, oversee quality implementation, communicate effectively to Client and Project Management, and ensuring delivery is on-time and adhering to project scope. In addition, Audio Visual Lead Technician must be able to assist the Pre-Sales team by walking potential audio visual and classroom technology job sites for design and implementation estimation. This position may assist in designing leading-edge solutions containing a wide variety of technologies and make recommendations based on experience with OEM products. During the installation process, this position will confirm that installation meets the manufacture standards.Qualified individuals should be available to work flexible hours and support travel to accommodate client schedules and locations.   • Delivery Implementation / Team Oversight:
  • Ownership of individual and team implementation tasks, staying on-time and on-budget
  • Communicating status effectively daily to Project Management
  • Attending internal meetings and communication when project is slipping behind (for whatever reason)
  • Pre-configure equipment in a lab prior to deployment (as needed)
  • Install equipment per clients pre-determined specifications and provide detailed documentation during this process
  • Perform all aspects of Audio Visual/ Classroom technology needs, including pulling low-voltage cabling, performing terminations, punch downs, and providing full testing/validation results of all runs
  • Configure, Test, and Train end user/users on new solution
  • Develop product training material.
  • Maintain an in-depth level of technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications through ongoing training, seminars and certifications. QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must have experience with: punch-downs, rack installations, terminations on patch panels, and data jacks, installation and testing/Category 3, 5, and 6 copper, COAX, and Fiber preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience as an Audio-Visual technician.
    • Proven track record of selling, building, and/or deploying Audio Visual technology solutions.
      • Experience installing and implementing technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
      • Working knowledge of vendor products and technologies from Crestron, AMX, Extron, Promethean, ClearOne, Electro-Voice, etc.
      • Installation and understanding of IP and Wireless Networks.
      • Installation of IP based Audio Visual and Classroom Technology systems with in schools, colleges/universities, hospitals, places of worship, commercial buildings and other locations.
      • Ability to read blue prints/floor plans, door elevations, riser diagrams, point to point drawings and schematics.
      • Ability to operate hand and power tools
      • Willing and able to safely climb ladders, stairs, operate man lifts, and work on feet for extended periods of time.
      • Accurately complete paperwork, including project closeout documents, time sheets and other required forms in a timely manner.
      • Comply with all federal, state and local laws applicable to the position and employment in general
