Job Description
Seeking a Mid-Level Planner/Landscape Architect to join the Planning Division of our Silver Spring, Maryland office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on a wide range of large and small projects including residential, mixed use, commercial and institutional. The position includes direct mentorship of junior staff and working collaboratively with co-workers to develop design drawings. Environmental assessments of sites and preparation of these plans for approval by the agencies will be required. The position will include regular meetings with the clients and agencies and an understanding of development design, and the review and approval processes within the various local agencies is desired. The applicant will be working in a team environment with other Landscape Architects, Engineers, Surveyors and CADD technicians. We are looking for an applicant that will participate in organizations and activities related to the industry and contribute to the marketing effort.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (PLA/RLA required).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in site planning and landscape architectural design.

Graphic design presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
---
Photoshop, Sketch-Up, or similar
---
Oral presentation experience.
---
Would like to see grading plans in candidate's portfolio
---
Autodesk Civil 3D experience

Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
