The Service Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day sales, operations, and customer service experience for their own technician team. We are looking for a leader who is self-driven and highly motivated to make a strong impact on the team, the company, and our customers. Our ideal candidate would preferably come from a plumbing background, have been a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, or be a successful residential Service Tech.We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated leader to make a strong impact on the team, the company, and our customers. Our ideal candidate would preferably come from a plumbing background, have been a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, or be a successful residential Service Tech.As a service manager, you will be actively:Effectively hire, coach, and train technicians to maximize sales and customer service opportunitiesRespond to and effectively handles operational, employee, and customer issues promptly and efficientlyOptimize employee engagement and development for the Service DepartmentAssess and adjust manpower allocation for the day relative to customer demand and business needsInspect trucks and uniformsDetermine actions needed to hit daily/weekly/monthly goalEssential Job Functions: Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives and sales goals are metHandling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customersAssisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating invoices, processing new orders, and tracking inventorySetting up and maintaining a service desk and evaluating its efficiencyResolving service desk problems and improving service methods to increase the service desk's productivity and customer serviceMonitoring department issues and client complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issuesAuditing work and customer service to ensure the company's high standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are metMaintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representativesHelping to train new employees in company proceduresMaintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company's adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry's standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processesQualifications:3-5 years of direct management experience in the plumbing industry, or have been a successful residential service technician with experience in other residential/consumer services (HVAC, Pest Control, Roofing, Landscaping, etc.)Demonstrate leadership skills to mobilize and drive a team to achieve set goals (revenue, efficiency, and customer service)Ability to solve complex problems and develop an appropriate action planClear, articulate speaking voices with superb telephone skillsClear thinking and prioritizing under all circumstancesThe ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and high-volume environmentA desire to learn and develop new skills with minimal directionThe ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verballyProficient in Microsoft OfficeExperience/Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and college degrees preferredCompensation:Based on experienceBenefits:Competitive Dental, Vision, and Healthcare Plans401(k) matchingShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityLife InsurancePTOPaid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Interested in hearing more?
