In this role, you will help drive digital transformation within the organization while ensuring the integrity and security of our IT systems. You will be responsible for the following key areas:
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Protect systems from cyber threats, secure data, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • System Architecture & Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable, reliable IT environments suited to operational needs.
  • API Integration & Software Ecosystems: Connect tools and platforms through APIs to enable automation and streamline workflows.
  • Facility Security & Compliance: Ensure IT infrastructure meets security requirements for obtaining and maintaining an FCL, including secure system setup, data protection, and access controls in compliance with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and NISP.
  • IT Strategy & Digital Transformation: Develop a long-term technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Design systems and processes to ensure operations can quickly resume after disruptions or data loss.
  • Compliance & IT Policy Development: Establish internal IT policies and procedures to meet industry regulations and reduce risk.
  • IT Procurement & Lifecycle Management: Advise on hardware/software purchases and manage the full lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning.
  • Technology Audits & Assessments: Evaluate existing systems, processes, and tools to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management and regulatory compliance, particularly in the defense and government contracting sectors.
    • Expertise in securing IT infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements, including FCL, CMMC, NIST 800-171, and NISP.
    • Strong technical background combined with the ability to provide strategic guidance in complex environments.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, ITIL 4) preferred.Location: DC area preferred, or must have the ability to commute/travel to our HQ in Arlington, VA.Hours: This is a part-time position.Interested in learning more about this opportunity?
