Job Description Job Description Now Hiring a Lead Infant Teacher! Montessori Kids Universe Cameron Square in Alexandria is seeking a Montessori teacher for our new Infant classroom. If you have a passion for the Montessori & Reggio Emilia philosophies, and take pride in creating and sustaining the highest quality educational environment, this position is for you! Salary based on experience and position, ranging from $20 per hour. The ideal candidate will possess: - Montessori credential or experience - Experience working with infants 6 weeks to 18 months - Warm, kind, respectful, and nurturing values - Great organization and communication skills - Passion for the Montessori & Reggio Emilia philosophies combined with excellence in communicating these philosophies to parents and other community members - Genuine warmth and love for guiding children (and their families!) You will be responsible for sustaining an authentic Montessori environment. You will encourage the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others. The Montessori Method sparks imagination, assists children in making positive choices, and helps the students build self-esteem while they discover new things each day.
