Job Description:

Title: Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting Our client, located in the Washington, DC area, is hiring a Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead financial systems administration and oversee accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional with a strong systems background-particularly in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains-who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead administration, support, and training for departmental financial systems (primarily Great Plains). Maintain data integrity and troubleshoot financial systems issues. Develop workflows and training materials; research and implement system enhancements. Coordinate system updates and oversee testing of new functionality. Manage user access, roles, and permissions; add new accounts and upload budgets. Direct monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes; ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations. Supervise the production and analysis of financial statements and variance reports. Maintain the general ledger and support annual audits and budget processes. Prepare payroll journal entries and provide financial support for the nursing department. Manage one direct report and lead cross-functional projects, including an upcoming system implementation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3 years of relevant management experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Management Reporter. Strong Excel skills and ability to manage complex financial data. Highly communicative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Preferred: CPA (active status).
