Senior S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support a SAP S/4HANA
Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract.
As a Senior Developer, you will be involved in every stage of the
application lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will be
responsible for converting user requirements into technical design
specifications and developing ABAP solutions aligned with those
designs. You may also lead or guide other developers in
maintainable development practices and during code reviews. This
project operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that
leverages Agile/Scrum methodologies to quickly build solutions
based on customer requirements. You are encouraged to learn new
technologies and recommend improvements to business processes. You
will be successful in this role through strong technical skills,
proactive problem?solving, quick learning, and excellent
communication with our clients. This position is located in one of
CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or
Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You
will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities: • Design and develop
comprehensive solutions within the S/4HANA platform, ensuring
scalability, performance, and alignment with complex business
objectives. • Develop and manage integrations between S/4HANA and
external systems using modern technologies and protocols, ensuring
seamless data flow and interoperability. • Analyze and enhance
system performance and business processes within S/4HANA,
leveraging advanced tools and techniques to maximize efficiency and
effectiveness. • Utilize SAP Gateway Service Builder to develop SAP
OData entities for consumption by external applications using
HTTP(s) protocols. • Participate in the analysis of customer
business operations to validate requirements and scope, proactively
suggesting process improvements. • Work closely with business and
technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating
them into effective S/4HANA solutions aligned with organizational
goals. • Develop and maintain detailed SAP design and technical
specification documents, and conduct thorough unit, integration,
and release testing to ensure solution quality. Required
qualifications to be successful in this role: • Due to contract
requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship and the
successful completion of a CGI background check prior to
onboarding. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a
DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance. • 6 years of SAP ABAP development
and overall SAP experience. • Experience with S/4HANA. • Hands-on
experience integrating backend SAP and non?SAP applications. •
Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views. •
Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business
Technology Platform (BTP). • Proficiency in working with web
services, proxies, and APIs for system integration. • Extensive
technical expertise and hands-on experience with a wide range of
ABAP technologies, including Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented
ABAP (OOP), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits,
and Data Conversions (BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows). •
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. • Strong written
and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain
technical concepts to both technical and non?technical audiences. •
Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations. •
Ability to self-learn new technologies in the UI space with minimal
supervision. Desired qualifications: • Experience with the ABAP
RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). • Certifications in
Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies. CGI is

estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination
of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set,
level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and
certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based
performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the
top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable
estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is
